Farewell Mateusz…!
It is a sad fact of life that all good things must come to an end, and Maidenhead’s current church music is no exception as at the start of November Mateusz Rettner, our music director, leaves us to return to his native Poland.
Mateusz has been with us for over eight years now, playing for us at our services, leading occasional practices of our small band of singers and delighting us with both solo piano recitals as well as concerts including some of his many musical friends and acquaintances. He will be a difficult act to follow but we wish him well as he moves away to join his new wife in Poland.
He is giving us a ‘Farewell’ Concert at 7.30pm on 2nd November and his final service will be on Sunday 3rd November - I do hope you will be able to come along and support him as we finally say goodbye.
